Next Blood Drive for the City of Hope is on Saturday December 1st.

The staff and members of Teamsters Local 986 will participate in another blood drive for the City of Hope on December 1, 2012 at the Local 986 Meeting Hall in South El Monte.

In April, the City of Hope received a record 132 pints of blood in the last Teamsters 986 Blood Drive which was donated by our members, family and friends.

City of Hope is recognized worldwide for its compassionate patient care, innovative science and translational research, which rapidly turns laboratory breakthroughs into promising new therapies.

For nearly 100 years, City of Hope’s pioneering research has brought the world closer to cures for many life-threatening diseases, from cancer to diabetes.

Compassion drives their innovation. Every discovery they make and new treatment they develop gives patients the chance to live longer, better and more fully.

Patients with cancer need better options today, not next week or next year.

For many people, City of Hope is where hope begins.

Teamsters Local 986 is proud to work with the City of Hope to provide life saving blood for their patients and to further their research to find a cure for cancer.
